8.9.17:  Sims is 5-10 with a strong lower half, hits from the left side from an open upright stance. Leg kick stride, smooth load back, some rhythm to swing. Explosive lower half and some balance to swing. Quick to the ball, works slightly uphill with a pull approach and quick bat, extension through the ball, exit velocity was 85. Behind the plate, quick clean exchange, throws from a high three-quarters arm slot with a short arm action. Pop times were 2.00-2.07 and throws had some accuracy, position velocity was 73. 

3.23.17: Strong frame. At third, above average footwork, fields with a wide base and above average hands. Throws from high three-quarters arm slot with a shorter arm action, average to slightly above average arm strength. Hits from left side, short quick swing, showed a pull approach with some power potential.

11.6.16 - Solid frame at 5-foot-9, 180-pounds. 7.65 60-yard dash. Hits from taller, slightly open set up. Smooth load to hitting position. Direct, slightly uphill swing path at the plate that wants to elevate the baseball. Shows quick hands and good bat speed. Gets on back foot a bit through swing and shows some power potential to pull side. Sound actions in the infield. Clean exchange and throw. Little higher set up with runners on. Clean exchange with quick release. Throws had carry on them and pop time got as low as 2.03…Shorter quick arm action throwing from an almost over the top arm slot. Gets some lower half and could get more involvement. Quick pace throughout delivery. Fastball has slight cut on the pitch up to 81 mph. Breaking ball has 11/5 shape on the pitch and has some 12/6 at times. Gradual break on the pitch at 68 mph. Change is straight with slight sink on the pitch at 76 mph.

5.22.16:  Sims stands 5-9 and has an athletic frame with a strong lower half. On the mound, throws from over the top slot with all and fall delivery. Short arm action that is quick generates velocity with some effort. Slightly uphill shoulders and stride on line to square landing with athletic finish. Fastball was 77-78 and was thrown for strikes. Sharp 12/6 curveball with good armspeed that was 68. Sinking change-up ran 70-72 with decent armspeed.
