Gunter is 6-1 with an athletic frame that has some strength present and plenty of  projection left to it. He hits from the right side from a slightly open balanced athletic stance, two-step stride on line, short load down and back to a wrap. Hips rotate completely and he maintains some lower half balance. Hands stay inside, goes straight to the ball, uphill swing path with some strength at contact and good extension through the ball, showed pull approach with natural loft in his swing and some power present that way, exit velocity was 88. In the infield, rounds the ball and fields with wider base and above average hands, works through the ball to a clean exchange, throws from a three-quarters arm slot, short loose arm action, position velocity was 81. Ran a 4.22 home to first. On the mound, he throws from a high three-quarters arm slot, short loose quick arm action with some effort to his delivery. Drop and drive delivery, shoulders are level and closed, lands closed with an athletic finish. Fastball was 83-85, touching 86, with a bit of downward plane and some late armside run. Curveball was 66-67 with good armspeed and late sharp hard 11/5 break to it. Change-up was 75-76 with good armspeed and some late run to it.
