A fastball with hop has a flat approach angle and visually jumps through the zone. When thrown up in the zone, it is more likely to generate a higher swing and miss average. Hop+ of 100 is MLB average.
Fastball
Sink+
A fastball with sink has low backspin and drops through the strike zone. When thrown down in the zone, it is more likely to generate a higher ground ball percentage and lower launch angle. Sink+ of 100 is MLB average.
Fastball
Rise+
A fastball with rise has a high percentage of backspin. When thrown up in the zone, it is more likely to generate a higher fly ball percentage. Rise+ of 100 is MLB average
Curveball
Hammer+
A hammer breaking ball drops vertically with velocity through the zone, or 12-to-6 movement. Hammer+ of 100 is MLB average.
Curveball
Sweep+
A sweeping breaking ball moves horizontally with velocity through the zone. Sweep+ of 100 is MLB average.
Long thin ultra projectable 6-foot-5 frame with plenty of room to add strength. In previous in-game looks the effort has been a little higher than it was Tuesday night. Seems to be a little more collected on the mound and the delivery was dialed down a bit. The velocity was down a shade with the fastball being 82-85 mph and touching 86 twice. Occasional arm side run to the fastball and was effective down in the zone. Previously the breaking ball has been an afterthought, but thought it may have been his best pitch in this outing. Sharp late downer bite while sitting between 73-77 mph. The breaking ball had tight 12/6 shape and played well down in the zone off of the fastball, getting multiple swings and misses. This is a high ceiling 2022 with some two way potential and plenty more gas in the tank.

Calveric is 6-5 with a lanky athletic 182 pound frame that has a lot of projection left to it. He hits from the left side from a slightly open taller balanced athletic stance, low leg kick stride on line, short smooth load back. Hips rotate with some violence and he maintains some lower half balance. Hands stay inside, quick to the ball, uphill swing path with strength at contact with extension through the ball, long limbs generate easy leverage, showed good approach working primarily gap to gap, swing generates loft to pull side, extra base power that way with more in the tank as he adds strength, exit velocity was 87. In the infield, rounds ball and fields with average hands, works through the ball to a clean exchange, throws from a low three-quarters arm slot, short loose arm action, position velocity was 80. Ran a 7.05 60 yard dash. On the mound, he throws from a lower three-quarters arm slot, longer free quick arm action and some effort to his delivery. Drop and drive delivery, shoulders are uphill and on line, lands slightly open with an athletic finish. Fastball was 85-87, with some downward plane and a bit of late hard armside run to it. Curveball was 66-69 with some armspeed and late gradual 11/5 break to it. Change-up was 73-75 with good armspeed and some hard armside run that gets a bit of depth.

Long thin athletic frame with plenty of room to add strength. At the plate swings with a short level path, stays inside the ball well, and had two hits through the left side. Line drive tendency to the swing and swing has a chance to hit for high average with power potential once he adds strength to the frame. Appeared to have solid actions defensively, but didn’t get any live plays while at third base. On the mound Calveric was 79-82 mph with an easy effort delivery. Fastball showed some nice arm side run. Could be an important arm for Godwin this year and is a definite follow as he continues to add arm and overall physical strength.

Long projectable 6-foot-4, 170-pound frame. Hits from the left side with a slightly open stance before striding in and landing slightly closed. Hands load back in rhythm and stay inside the ball well. Swing path has some slight uphill tilt to it. Works gap-to-gap in approach, but has flashed the ability to use the entire field. Exit velocity was 85 mph. Home-1st time was 4.40. Defensively works tall on approach, hands present out front, and has a clean exchange. Arm action is short and works from a 3/4 arm slot. On the mound displays pace and rhythm in the delivery with a higher leg lift before a slight drop and drive forward. Hips and shoulders are level moving down the mound before landing online at foot strike. The arm was loose and quick from a three-quarter arm slot. Fastball sat 83-84 and touched 85 mph. It played downhill at times and worked well at the bottom of the zone. The curveball tended to back up out of the hand, but presented solid arm speed and intent sitting at 68-70 mph. Showed a changeup that worked to both sides of the plate with some late fade at 77-80 mph.
