Hips rotate completely with some violence and he maintains good lower half balance. Hands stay inside, short to ball, level line drive swing path, showed a good approach working gap to gap, exit velocity was 78. In the infield, active feet, rounds the ball and fields with a wider base and soft hands, works through ball to a quick clean exchange, throws from a three-quarters slot, position velocity was 79. Ran a 7.27 60 yard dash.

Keister has an athletic frame that has projection left as he continues to grow. At the plate, has some batspeed and a short swing, line drive hitter at the moment with chance for some gap power as he gets taller and stronger. At short, made some athletic plays and has lateral range and footspeed. On the mound, throws from a three-quarters arm slot with a short free arm action. Fastball was 75-77 with some late run. Showed a curveball with big 11/5 break that was 56-60, slowed his arm a bit to throw it.
