Butash is 6-2 with an athletic frame that has some strength present and plenty of projection left to it. He hits from the right side from a slightly open balanced athletic stance, short leg kick stride on line, short smooth load back. Hips rotate completely and he maintains good lower half balance. Hands stay inside, short and quick to the ball, slightly uphill line drive swing path, some strength at contact point with some extension through the ball, showed a pull approach with the ability to use the whole field, some power present in the gaps and room to add more, exit velocity was 87. In the infield, rounds the ball and fields with a wider base and above average hands, works through the ball to a clean exchange, throws from a three-quarters arm slot, short arm action, position velocity was 78. Ran a 7.08 60 yard dash. On the mound, he throws from a three-quarters arm slot, very short free arm action and some effort to his delivery. Shoulders are slightly uphill and slightly closed, lands closed with a fall off finish when he amps up the effort. Fastball was 79-82, with some late armside run to it. Curveball was 69-72 with good armspeed and hard downer 11/5 break to it.
