McRay is 6-0 with a lankier athletic frame that has plenty of projection left to it. He hits from the left side from an open balanced athletic stance, two touch stride on line, loads back to a wrap. Hips rotate completely and he maintains some lower half balance. Hands stay inside, goes straight to the ball, slightly uphill line drive swing path with some strength at contact point and extension through the ball, showed a good approach working gap to gap, generates some natural loft in his swing, exit velocity was 79. In the outfield, gets body behind the ball and fields through it with average hands, clean exchange, throws from a high three-quarters arm slot, short arm action, position velocity was 75. Ran a 4.14 home to first. On the mound he throws from a high three-quarters arm slot, longer loose arm action with normal effort to his delivery. Shoulders are slightly downhill and on line, lands slightly open with a bit of a fall off finish and some recoil. Fastball was 71-74, with some downward plane and a bit of late armside run. Curveball was 57-59 with some armspeed and big sharp 1/7 break to it. Change-up was 62-65 with good armspeed and armside run to it.
