Tibbs has a long projectable frame. Listed at 6-foot-2 and has filled out some since we saw him in October. Started at shortstop Friday night and is a solid defender up the middle at the high school level, but long term has corner infield profile. At the plate Tibbs hits from a narrow athletic stance that is square and somewhat upright. Hands are loose, minimal hand load as he more so walks away from the hands as opposed to loading to separation. Short flat path to contact and showed ability to pull the hands in to get to the inside pitch. Showed some balance in the swing at times, but was a little heavy on the front side and the head tended to drift into the swing. Average hands defensively, clean exchange, and displayed the ability to throw from multiple slots with average arm strength and accuracy across. Had an infield single in the bottom of the seventh and would score the winning run from first base on the walk off double.

Tibbs is 6-2 with a lankier athletic frame that has some strength present and plenty of projection left to it. He hits from the right side from a slightly open taller balanced athletic stance, low leg kick stride on line, smooth load back. Hips rotate completely with some violence and he maintains good lower half balance. Hands stay inside, short and quick to the ball, slightly uphill line drive swing, strong contact point with some extension through the ball, easy effort batspeed, showed a pull preference with the ability to work gap to gap, some power present and room to add more, exit velocity was 88. In the infield, rounds the ball and fields with a good wide base and soft hands, works through ball to a quick clean exchange, throws from a low three-quarters arm slot, short arm action position velocity was 77. Ran a 6.94 60 yard dash.
