Swails is 5-10 with an athletic frame that has some strength present and plenty of projection left to it. He hits from the right side from an open balanced athletic stance, strides on line, smooth load back to a slight wrap. Hips rotate completely with some violence and he maintains some lower half balance. Hands stay inside, short and quick to the ball, slightly uphill line drive swing path with strength at contact and some extension through the ball, showed a good approach using the whole field, has some gap power present with more pop in the tank, exit velocity was 88. In the infield, gets body behind the ball and fields with a wider base and average hands, works through the ball during exchange, throws from a low three-quarters arm slot, short arm action, position velocity was 76. Ran a 4.28 home to first. On the mound, he throws from a three-quarters arm slot, short loose quick arm action with normal effort to his delivery. Drop and drive delivery, shoulders are uphill and closed, lands closed with a slight fall off finish. Fastball was 77-80, with some downward plane to it and some late armside run to it. Curveball was 66-68 with good armspeed and sharp 11/5 break to it. Change-up was 75-77 with good armspeed and heavy sink.
