6-foot-1, 200-pound left-handed pitcher, solid build, strong lower half. Repeatable delivery, connected high ¾ slot, works easy. Fastball played heavy at times, 83-85 mph, touched 86 mph. Slider played at 74-77 mph, 2/8 shape, showed feel. Hayes' status in the state's 2021 rankings is a lot like his own prospect profile: steady. He simply works in a confident and smooth tempo that helps him fill up the zone with a fastball that hitters consistently swing over and he knows how to utilize his offspeed. He remains of high interest as an uncommitted name on the market.


Positional Profile: LHP/1B. Among the top uncommitted juniors in the state.
Body: 6-foot-1, 200-pounds. Strong, compact look; thick lower half.
Delivery: Squared start, simple rock to smooth balance point, level shoulders, direct to target. Works in rhythm, ease, finishes in an athletic position.
Arm Action: LH. Short draw, compact arm circle to high 3/4 release; quick and loose arm.
FB: T85, 84-85 mph. Slight tick up in velo over the offseason; straight four-seam type.
CB: 68-71 mph. 1/7 shape feel to locate; flashed sharp bite beneath the zone.
CH: 76-79 mph. Firm, maintains arm speed; feel to locate with consistent fading action. 


Strong, projectible build. 6-foot-1, 195-pound left/left cleanup hitter for STiKS Black. Tall, balanced setup, short stride, slight leg lift. Hands start in a strong hitting position, twitch in hands, short, level path to the baseball, simple and easy swing, consistently makes contact. Went 2-for-3 with two singles and a walk against Central Illinois Outlaws. Hayes also started a rain-shortened game against NorthStar Navy on Saturday afternoon. He has an extremely easy, low-effort left-handed delivery; clean and over-the-top arm action, works level and square to home. Fastball sat 81-83 mph, mostly straight four-seam type, plays up given his ability to locate. Curveball, 1/7 shape, with depth and occasional late break, above-average action, feel for strikes. Hayes is one of the top two-way prospects in Wisconsin’s 2021 class.


Hayes was very impressive on the mound for STiKS Black during his complete game shutout on Saturday. He showed a three pitch arsenal including a fastball, changeup, and curveball. Hayes commanded all three pitches for strikes allowing only three hits and one walk. His fastball was consistent at 81-82mph and reared back for one that topped 85mph. Changeup at fastball arm speed 74-75mph and curveball was 68-70mph. The #2 ranked southpaw in the WI 2021 class works from an effortless motion with an over the top motion and a high leg kick. At 6-foot-1, 195 pounds he uses his strong lower half well to drive down the mound. Hayes finished the game with 6 Ks four of them looking,

6-foot-0, 190-pound left-handed pitcher, solid build with strength. Clean repeatable delivery, easy low effort, good balance throughout, stays online and lands square. Arm action is clean and easy, short draw and quick arm speed, high ¾ slot, loose out front. Showed fastball control, above average, runs to arm side, occasional sink. Sat 81-83 mph, touched 84 mph. Curveball played 1/7, flashed short late action, 72-76 mph. Feel for sinking changeup, flashed plus action for age, 77-79 mph, fastball arm speed, thrown with confidence.

7/8/18 - 5-foot-11, 175-pound, left-handed pitcher, durable-build. On the mound works from a ¾ arm slot, with a short arm action. Tall and fall delivery, lands closed, finishing upright. Mixes looks in the stretch, occasionally employing a quick slide step. Fastball sat 75-79, worked the the outer half to start the game, mixed in more fastballs on the inner half as game progressed. Slider, tight spin and action, located away, 66-69.
