The incoming junior is a strong, sturdy 6-foot-3, 180 pounds, and he doesn’t require much effort to reach substantial velocity for a player his age, and from the left side. He topped 85 mph at our Western Wisconsin Open event, and the fastball projects metrically, too. While his feel for secondaries is presently raw, Berkhof showed one of the highest ceilings at this showcase.
