Balistreri impressed on the mound when he punched out five hitters over 5.2 innings of work. Balistreri started the game for PTA Cardinal and worked with a two-pitch mix. The fastball sat in the upper 70's, inducing weak contact. The curveball sat in the upper 60’s with 11/5 shape.

Body: 5-9, 175-pounds. Solid body type, compact with sloped shoulders.
Delivery: Tall upright delivery, recoil finish, works slightly uphill.
Arm Action: RH. Slight effort from over the top slot, full path.
FB: T84, 82-84 mph. Slight arm-side run, gets some backspin ride through the zone. T2037, 1944 average rpm.
SL: 73-74 mph. Around it with some lateral action, 10/4 shape. T2699, 2653 average rpm.
CH: 76-78 mph. Heavy sinking action.  T1839, 1767 average rpm.

Stands at a strong, sturdy 5-foot-10, 180-pounds. Balistreri’s fastball touched 84 mph on Saturday, sitting at 82-83 mph with some vertical life as it entered the zone. Perhaps the biggest takeaway from his arsenal was his aptitude to spin his low-70s curveball at a 2,400+ RPM average with occasional sharp action to the glove-side corner of the plate. Balistreri also effectively limited vertical carry and spin on his changeup, pumping it in at 73-74 mph.
