Body: 5-10, 160-pounds. Developed, lean, athletic proportions.
Hit: LHH. Balanced setup, preset barrel wrap.  Aggressive rotation to deliver. Flat path with quiet head. Connected rotation. Strong hands. Violent at impact. All fields hard contact. Tight turn.
Power: 92.7 max exit velocity, averaged 87.7 mph. 313’ max distance.
Arm: RH. OF - 91 mph. Over the top slot, plays with carry, plus arm for age.
Defense: Plays through the baseball, crow hop.
Run: 7.17 runner in the 60.

Kay is a dynamic two-way outfielder from Waterford Union who impressed positionally at this event, though did not pitch. Listed at 5-foot-10, 160 pounds, Kay ran a 7.17 in the 60-yard dash and stepped inside the left-handed box for the event’s first round of BP. From there, Kay worked out of a balanced setup with a pre-set barrel wrap. He triggers with aggressive rotation, and his path worked flat through the zone with little head movement. Kay generated 73.3 mph barrel speed with exits up to 92.7 mph to all fields, logging a 70 percent sweet spot rate in the process. Kay also has premium arm strength in the outfield (91 mph), and it plays with carry and accuracy to his target. He’s equally athletic while moving to the baseball, playing with above-average outfield actions. Kay is also a high-level pitching prospect who’s reportedly made offseason gains that we’ll have to check in on during the spring.

Arm Action: RH. Long and loose arm action, high 3/4 slot.
FB: T80, 78-79 mph. Straight. Stays up in the zone.
CB: 64-67 mph. 11/5 shape. Gradual action. 
CH: 73-74 mph. Produces sinking action.

Body: 5-foot-8, 130-pounds. Wiry frame.
Hit: LHH. Balanced setup, short stride, on time, hands load back in rhythm. Path is short, creates line drive contact, above average bat speed for age.
Power: 82 mph exit velocity from the tee.
Arm: RH. INF - 84 mph. Loose arm action, playable arm strength is accurate and showed carry.
Defense: Athletic actions, moves well to the baseball, showed body control on the move, hands play soft, out front and with clean exchange.
Run: 7.07 runner in the 60. Above average runner.
