7/29/16 - Verbally committed to Northern Kentucky University.

6.21.16 - Uncommitted. 6-foot-4, 250-pound right-handed hitting first baseman, massive presence in the box, wide shoulders, extremely strong lower half. Possesses big pull-side power with matching big swing. Has incorporated pronounced leg kick and loading action in swing; generates significant bat speed and loft. When swing is timed up, he has the ability to hit it a long way. He proved that during game action when he crushed a towering home run to left field at Silver Cross Stadium with wood. Also registered event-best 102 mph exit velocity with wood. More nimble and athletic than the frame would suggest. Handles himself well around the bag; big target, soft hands and picks balls out of the dirt well. Ran a 7.58 laser-timed 60.

2/21/16 - Currently ranked No. 8 in Wisconsin class of 2017. 6-foot-4, 250-pound right-handed hitting first baseman with an extra large strong frame with athleticism. Offensively hits from a balanced setup with a leg kick stride and slight collapse on the backside with good balance. Gap to gap hitter with explosive batspeed and a level path with extension thru contact. Good approach at the plate, consistently hitting line drives up the middle. One of the premier power hitters in the Midwest in the 2017 class, 110 mph exit velocity from a tee. 7.37 runner in the 60. Defensively has a short arm action from an over the top slot, throws showed carry throwing 88 mph across the infield. Showed feel for the bag at first with athletic actions and fluid footwork. Soft hands, picking throws at first.

9.5.15 - 6-foot-4, 245-pound, right-handed hitting first baseman. Power approach at the plate, shows the ability to consistently square up pitches and make hard contact. Went 2-4 in the game with a double, and showed his athleticism with a stolen base. Hits from a tall, narrow setup with a short, direct path to the ball. High follow prospect. Continues to square up baseballs game after game. Makes consistent hard contact. Went 1-3 in the game with a 2-run ground rule double to deep left centerfield. Currently Uncommitted.

7/31/15 - At a hulking 6-foot-4, 245-pounds, Doersching came into the Future Games as one of the top power hitting prospects in the Midwest, and he did not disappoint. At the plate he hits from a balanced setup. Smooth load to backside with a short, linear stride. Short, direct path to the ball with extension. Strong thru contact showing second best exit velocity at the event (98 mph off a tee). Hit three homeruns out of his twelve swings in batting practice. During games he lead Team Wisconsin with three RBIs, going 3-7 at the plate. Defensively shows good feel around the bag at first. Strong accurate arm, threw 81 mph across the infield. In games showed athleticism at first taking good routes, and showing soft, sure hands on throws in the dirt. Ran the 60 at 7.65.

6.21.15 - 6-foot-4, 245-pound right-handed hitting 1B/3B impresses with size and power potential. Built like a pulling guard in football (which he is), but impresses with nimble feet around the bag at first base. Played adequately at third as well, showing off range going back for an over the shoulder catch in foul territory. Power bat is his calling card. Went 3-for-3 in the final game on Friday, with two homers, one a walk-off to win it. First home run was a towering fly ball to left center, that he actually looked fooled on for a moment. Kept hands back and went down and got a pitch down in the zone. Second homer was line shot to left no more than eight feet off the ground. Hits from an open stance, hands are relaxed, has a bit of pre-pitch waggle, short, aggressive path, slightly uphill, creates natural lift in swing. Plus bat speed (101 mph exit velocity at a past event). Ranked No. 15 in Wisconsin, high follow power prospect.

3/1/15 - Extra-large frame and build, 6-foot-4, 250-pound right-handed power hitting first baseman, advanced strength for age. Hits from an open stance, smooth loading action, short stride, good balance through contact. Strong swing with bat speed, ball jumps off the bat, athletic hitter with loose hands. Can create more extension with better top hand, shows present power with potential for more. Posted event best exit velocity at 101 mph multiple times. Defensively showed actions around the bag, moves extremely well for size, good footwork, natural first base actions. Athletic arm action, can play well on the move, strong arm at 81 mph across the diamond. 7.71 runner in the 60, laser timed.

3/16/14 - 6-foot-2, 230-pound two way player with a large, strong frame that projects well. At the plate he hits from an open stance. Swing is fluid and strong. Uses a toe tap load and launch sequence and generates advanced bat speed and power. Consistently strong contact with strong extension. Exit velocity was 82 mph off a tee. At first base he showed he can move with athletic feet and knows his way around the bag. Arm action is athletic and short, 67 mph across the infield. Posted a 4.69 home to first time. On the mound he uses a tall and fall delivery with clean lines, regular effort. Arm works clean, high ¾ slot. Fastball was straight, 74-78 mph. Showed advanced feel for changeup, throwing it with quality sink and fade, 71-73 mph. Showed the ability to command his curveball for strikes, throwing it with 11/5 shape, gradual break, 66-70 mph.
