Schaller is a wiry 6-foot-1, 180 pounds, and he’s among the top uncommitted juniors in the state. He makes some pretty impactful contact for his stature from the left-handed batter’s box, and upside still remains as he continues to add to his lean levers.


Positional Profile: SS/2B
Body: 6-foot-1, 152-pounds. Long, lean frame with plenty of room for continued physical development.
Hit: LHH. Balanced, athletic setup, smooth load, short stride and maintains balance through contact. Loose, athletic, twitchy hands, creates bat speed and barrel whip through the zone. Level path, gap-to-gap and fluid rhythm.
Power: 85 mph exit velocity from the tee.
Arm: RH. INF - 74 mph. Short, loose arm action, high 3/4 slot.
Defense: Quick feet, steady hands, fields out in front and plays through at times.
Run: 4.46 runner home to first. 


6-foot-1, 152-pound lanky frame. Played 3B and batted second. At the dish, balanced setup, smooth load, loose hands that generate bat speed. Short and level path through the zone. Pull-side approach. Found barrels and hit the ball hard in both ABs. Finished 2-2 with a single, double, hit-by-pitch and 3 RBI in a 9-1 victory. Ran a 4.91 (turn) down the line. 


Body: 6-foot-1, 147-pounds. Long lanky frame, thin build.

Run: 7.23 runner in the 60. Loose stride, better underway.
Hit: LHH. Balanced stance, short leg kick stride, smooth loading action, confident and in rhythm in the box, excellent balance through contact. Loose athletic hands works to generate bat speed and ability to consistently find the barrel. Easy swing on slight uphill plane, gets gap to gap contact.
Power: 84 mph exit velocity from the tee. Should come with strength.
Arm: RH. INF - DNP mph. 

8/5/18 (Junior Future Games) - 6-foot, 140-pound, lanky, lean frame, left-handed hitting two-way prospect. At the plate, displays loose, whip-like hands, barrel path is level through the zone, 76 mph exit velocity. Has a line drive approach, pull-side strength, and feel for the zone, good hand-eye, extended at-bats by fouling off pitches. Pulled a ball down the first base line for a two-run double. Defensively, plays through the ball, athletic actions, fluid footwork, clean exchanges. Arm works loosely out of a ¾ slot, 68 mph across the infield. Maintained body control.  

4/8/18 - 5-foot-11, 155-pound left-handed hitting infielder, lanky frame, long legs. Balanced stance, slight bat wrap load, leg lift stride. Loose hands, long path, high back elbow. Showed bat speed, 87 mph exit velocity from the tee. Defensively plays with clean exchange, showed body control at times. Arm is short from high ¾ slot, 70 mph across the diamond. 7.85 runner in the 60. 

4/2/17 - 5-foot-6, 110-pound, lanky left-handed hitting shortstop and outfielder. Offensively, open setup, smooth load, leg kick timing-trigger, maintains balance, fluid rhythm. Line drive hitter, loose hands, stays inside, 75 mph exit velocity off a tee. Defensively, right-handed, short, firm action, ¾ arm slot, plays through the ball, 68 mph from the outfield and 58 mph across the infield. Ran an 8.33 60.
