Madison Future Prospects Showcase: Analysis

By Phil Kerber & Steve Nielsen
Wisconsin Staff

Last month, some of the most talented Madison-area 7th and 8th graders visited us at GRB Academy for the Future Prospects showcase. Today, we’re publishing all 50-plus reports on each and every player in attendance.

In case you missed our statistical analysis of the event, you can still read that HERE.

A number of 2022 and 2023 talent emerged from this event, like C/UTL/RHP Case Rierson (Rio, 2022) for his ability to handle multiple positions well at such a young age, as well as 3B/RHP Nick West (Verona, 2022), who demonstrated two-way athleticism and showed consistent hard contact at the plate.

Cal Fisher (Deerfield, 2023) was among the most athletic and strong 2023s at the event. He tied West for the hardest recorded fastball velocity on the mound (79 mph) and looked sharp defensively in the middle of the infield. He also displayed some bat speed for his age and hard contact.

However, these are just a few names of the many talented performers who came out for early April showcase. Continue reading on for full reports on every one of the day’s attendees.
