He attacked hitters, as he usually does, with an 84-86 mph fastball that worked down and on the corners. His pitchability and feel to locate continue to be a key factor in his effectiveness on the mound, as Klekamp continued to mix in his curveball and changeup. Klekamp is amongst the top uncommitted prospects in the state, currently penciled in at No. 14 overall on the PBR Wisconsin rankings.

Klekamp didn’t allow an earned run through six innings, striking out 13 at our PBR at The Rock 17u Championships. He sat at 84-87, touching 88 mph a few times late in his outing and effectively challenged hitters, generating a high swing-and-miss rate with his fastball.

In his start, Klekamp and his projectable 6-foot-2 frame sat 82-84 mph in the first couple frames with regular arm-side run, generated from his loose ¾ slot. His feel for spin is raw, but Klekamp has a lot going for him already.

The heater has easy run and sink to match the easy effort overall. The breaker has 10/4 shape with sweeping action and he used both throughout the game. Also flashed a changeup that faded with FB arm speed.
