The right-handed hitter made repeated elevated contact throughout batting practice with clear bat speed and feel to drive the ball, reached a max exit velocity 100.5 mph throughout the round with loud contact during each round. Defensively behind the plate the athleticism showed in flashes along with a strong arm up to 82 mph from the crouch and pop times from 1.95-2.15 seconds.

Uncommitted. Lessard would continue to show one of the more intriguing C/RHH profiles still on the market. A loft-based approach at the plate with present barrel strength and a developing feel to hit, the Muskego product would finish the tournament 7-for-17 with a double, two home runs, five RBIs, and five runs scored. 6-foot, 185-pound frame with present strength.

The ball jumps off the bat when barreled with carry, hitting two doubles in game two of the day. Defensively looks the part behind the dish with natural and athletic actions.

A physical presence at 6-foot, 185 pounds the junior is one of the strongest prospects in the state. At the plate Lessard swings with intent and looks to do damage on every swing, taking plenty of big “A” hacks while maintaining and staying within his approach, not expanding and working a walk in his first at-bat. Lessard would finish the day with 1-for-3, the strong right-hander would find the barrel for a single and would later come around to score. Behind the dish Lessard’s actions were on full display. Confident and natural receiver of the baseball with loose and strong wrists paired with quiet movements behind the dish. Uncommitted. In his first season of prep baseball, Lessard took the varsity stage by storm and wound up being the best performing hitter on a loaded Muskego team. The catcher, who’s always solid defensively, hit .406 at the plate with an impressive 17 extra base hits and 35 RBIs. His production from the middle of the order allowed the Warriors to find success in 2024, as he was a staple and will be going forward. Lessard presents all sorts of confidence in his game, as the No. 1 ranked player in Wisconsin’s 2027 class emerged on top in one of the deepest groupings of prospects within our catcher category. He produced in the Classic 8 as well, which houses some of the top athletes in the state in arguably the deepest conference in Wisconsin. Lessard has a bright future ahead of him, as his freshman season only added to the momentum he’s gained throughout his early prep career—priming himself for a strong summer on the showcase and tournament circuit.

The 6-foot, 187-pound catcher recorded the best pop time and catcher velocity of the event at 1.95 seconds and 82 mph, respectively. His body is quick behind the plate and the arm is accurate, showing clear athleticism. The freshman also ran a 7.25 60-yard dash, one of the best among all catchers. With the bat, Lessard looks to do damage with his loud right-handed bat, taking intentful hacks to the ball with a quick bat. During his round, Lessard produced some of the day’s top batted ball metrics, as he averaged 93.4 mph and his hardest hit ball came off of 99.4 mph. Lessard, the current No. 1 prospect in the state’s freshman class and No. 51 nationally, is certainly an advanced prospect and is someone our staff is excited to continue to follow throughout the entirety of his prep career.

Lessard is the youngest athlete and only 2027 prospect playing for Team Wisconsin this week. Built at 6-foot-0, 165-pounds, featured an advanced skill set for age group at the plate and behind the dish, where he flashed a pop time between 2.22-2.34 seconds. Lessard hits from a crouched set up, gathers into back side, advances back to center with a controlled move and consistent hand trigger. He uses his lower half to start the swing and unleashes fast bat speed creating short paths to and through the ball. The ball was jumping off the bat to all fields and impressive barrel control. 

Playing up a year, good proportions, sturdy frame, strength throughout, athletic, sees off speed and delivers barrel with strong handsy direct path. Strong hands, receives ball well by showing ability to receive ball in pocket, keeps balls in dirt in front, displays ability to manage game.
