Kosempa pitched six innings against Brookfield Central, allowing no runs and zero hits. He issued four walks and struck out 15 batters.
Uncommitted. Currently ranked No. 16 in the state’s senior class, was also a recent winner at the inaugural Wisconsin Preseason Procase. Standing at a trim 6-foot-1, 196-pound frame. Got the start on the mound for Marquette tossing six innings, striking out 15 batters allowing one unearned run and walking four. Advanced three pitch mix, earning swing and miss on all three offerings throughout the outing. The fastball sat 89-92 mph early with life out of the hand, the slider projects as the best pitch moving forward thrown hard at 79-82 mph with sharp action. Will throw the breaking ball in any count, high-usage pitch and leans on it heavily. Flashed feel for a diving changeup at 80-82 mph with upside against both handed batters. Some of the top stuff in the class with a pair of advanced secondaries that project as potential putaway pitches at the next level.
RHP Damian Kosempa (Marquette University, 2026): Maryville recruit, Tossed perhaps the loudest and most impressive ‘pen of the event, standing at an athletic 6-foot-1, 193.6-pound frame with lean strength throughout. On the mound, the right-hander showed a ticked up fastball sitting 90-92 mph (2,485.0 rpm) with 15.2 inches of average induced vertical break, while his slider played at 83-84 mph (2,978 rpm) with -13.4 inches of horizontal movement. Notably, both of those average spin metrics explicitly led the event, producing a heavy, jumping heater and a late-breaking, two-plane breaking ball that serves as a potentially primary out-pitch weapon. He rounds out a premium arsenal with an 83-84 mph changeup that kills spin to 945 rpm, flashing 9.2 inches of horizontal movement and late depth at -3.4 inches of induced vertical break to tunnel beautifully off his primary mix. Always shown a knack for spin, now with improved velo and another secondary that profiles well against both-handed batters the senior put himself on the radar as a pro-follow is not this spring then throughout his collegiate career.
Positional Profile: RHP Body: 6-1, 192.5-pounds. Athletic frame with lean strength throughout the frame.

Uncommitted, currently ranked No. 64 in Wisconsin’s 2026 class. Standing in at 6-foot, 192-pounds, Kosempa had a solid performance on the mound during Friday morning's win. The right-hander was very balanced on the mound and worked the zone well against hitters, bringing good delivery making it hard for hitters to hit off of him. Kosempa showed a heavy fast ball at 83-85 mph, topping 86 mph in the first couple of innings. He also utilized a slider at 76-78 mph, topping 79 mph.
+ RHP Damian Kosempa (Marquette, 2026) had a very nice day on the mound. The physical right-hander was up to 87 mph with the heater that showed late and hard boring action to the arm side of the plate. Kosempa’s calling card is his ability to spin the baseball. He deployed a couple of different breaking balls. The curve showed big and late depth with 10/4 type shape while the slider (2700 RPMs) has more horizontal type break. Both profile as pitches he can land for strikes and ones he can get below for chase. The change-up is his 4th best but a useful offering with arm side type fade in the hitting zone. Kosempa is an arm we continue to like and he did not disappoint with his showing on the mound on Sunday.
