Oakland, CA - A wide ranging group of players made their way to Laney College for the Bay Area Open, with players representing the 2020-2024 grad classes taking their shot at showcasing their skills. Players went through a pro-style workout running 60's, taking BP and showcase defensive skills while pitchers threw a bullpen from the main mound.

OUTFIELDERS:

2020 OF Tyler Keenan - Monte Vista Christian - 6-2, 190, R/R
Uncommitted. Athletic and physically built large frame showing current strength with tight waist and above average speed getting to full speed quickly (7.05 60 yd). Opened stance staying tall in posture with even hands showing lifted foot as he controls the closed movement gaining ground forward with slow load of hands back. Barrel has longer turn with quickness working on slightly upward path through the zone; bat flashes some explosive qualities when he drives the back hip with back knee staying underneath his body. Showed pullside power and strength in the barrel with long drives into gaps; extra base power currently with some flashes of more HR power coming (90 EV). Moves easy in OF with strong ability to read the ball and react to it using his athleticism and quick feet. Compact, strong arm keeping balls on a line with easy carry and plus accuracy; fits the RF profile for next level (88 MPH). Excited to see him with the NorCal Team at State Games.
