SAN JUAN CAPISTRANO, CA—The Boras Classic South championship is set, with JSerra HS, CA, matching up with La Mirada HS, CA, Friday night. JSerra beat Harvard-Westlake HS, CA, to advance while La Mirada topped South Hills HS, CA.

JSerra was able to stifle Harvard-Westlake’s tough lineup, as RHPs Tim Scarlett and Ryan Farmer held the Wolverines to just three hits. The Lions got on the board when OF Nino Vultaggio crushed a triple to deep center field, scoring two. In the third, a botched pickoff play gave JSerra a 3-0 lead. Harvard-Westlake scratched out a run in the fourth, but just couldn’t muster anything more.

Scarlett, a 2020 committed to San Diego State, started on the mound and pitched mostly at 80-81. He has a big, strong frame at 6-foot-5, 212 pounds. He has a high leg kick, long arm swing and short stride down the mound. His curveball had slurvy break at 68-70.
