LOS ANGELES, CALIF. - As the High School baseball season is fully underway here in California, it is time for a look at our updated high school Player Rankings for the class of 2022. The #1 spot is still held by Henry Bolte from Palo Alto High School. Bolte burst onto the scene last summer and has maintained his high level of play and momentum from summer into the early portion of the spring. With elite tools defensively and at the plate, Bolte is one of the premier MLB Draft prospects in the state for his class.
The rest of Top Five remains the same with C Malcolm Moore, LHP Braeden Sloan, SS/RHP Cutter Coffey, and SS Mikey Romero rounding out the group. The Top 10 does welcome two new members in LHP Oliver Santos and SS/RHP Austin Charles.
With the expansion of the rankings to 300, we welcome 64 new players to the class rankings.
Along with newcomers there are plenty of risers in the rankings. Some of the most significant risers are No. 18 Michael Barnett, No. 20 Jared Mettam, No. 25 Caden Wooster, No. 42 Jarrod Hocking, No. 45 Sam Garewal, and No. 51 Jordan Lewis.
