CSN vs. CNCC, Games 2/3: Scout Blog

Brett Harrison
Nevada Scouting Director

The Coyotes take Games 2 and 3 the four game series against Colorado Northwestern CC with he help of CSN's newest arm and bounce back from Cal State Fullerton, Joey Magrisi, local product out of Foothill, Andrew Hauck, and the bats of future Arizona Wildcat, Damiano Palmegiani, and future UNLV Rebel, Joey Walls. They head into Game 4 today with a chance to sweep and bring their record to 7-1 on the season.

Game 2

Joey Magrisi makes his debut with Coyotes and dominates. Working mostly off his heavy changeup at 73-74 mph that he threw comfortably in any count, was able to keep hitters off balance by speeding it up with his fastball at 83-85 mph or spinning his breaking ball that showed late tight action. The pitchability of CSN’s newest weapon is what stood out the most, understanding his game, attacking hitters early and missing barrels. He worked with pace through an efficient 4.1 innings, striking out 6 with no walks. He adds another weapon to a potent Coyote pitching staff bringing a different look than the power arms that make up most of the rotation.
