FREMONT, CALIF. - As an open event, this was conducted as a straight traditional showcase, 60 yard run, BP round (with Blast Motion sensors and TrackMan utilized for gathering of various data and metrics), defensive workouts, and pitchers ending the day on the mound throwing 15-20 pitch sessions.

Tanner Bradley, Cardinal Newman (CA), 2024
Positional Profile

Physical
: 6-0, 155-pounds; Lean, wiry build. 7.53 runner in the 60.
Offensively: RHH. Even setup, with feet wide spread; flat bat to start. Loads straight back with a moderate leg kick for timing. Stays behind the ball while showing an aggressive lower half. Showed a slashing stroke with a finish around the back. More line drives than fly balls and ground balls with a peak exit velocity of 92 MPH via Trackman. Aggressive intent filled approach, lively and loose stroke, showed feel for the barrel while taking those aggressive strokes.
Defensively: Starts with an upright /tall setup; walks into ready position while displaying fluid actions to the baseball. Hands work through the ball with a seamless transfer. Moderate arm circle from a high-3/4 arm slot. OF - 86 MPH. Powerful thrower, smooth actions, clean mechanics with a quick release which allows the already big arm to play up even higher.

Joe Plaskett, Washington (Fremont, CA), 2022

: 6-1, 188-pounds; Broad shouldered, muscular build. 7.47 runner in the 60.
Offensively: RHH. Even setup, with feet just outside his shoulders; bat positioned at a 45 degree angle. Short take back with the hands with a heel lift for timing. Stays behind the ball while showing a strong lower half. Showed a direct swing path with one-handed finish. More line drives than fly balls and ground balls with a peak exit velocity of 94 MPH via Trackman. Bat laid bat in a preset position, launches from the set-up, extends through contact, short stroke with ability to make impact contact.
Defensively: Starts with a balanced setup; walks into ready position while showing choppy feet. Hands are out in front with a delay in transfer. Long arm swing from a high/over the top arm slot. OF - 86 MPH. Strong arm, can quicken up the release, approach is calm.

Isaiah Landry, Clayton Valley Charter (CA), 2023

: 5-9, 155-pounds; Athletic, muscular build. 6.77 runner in the 60.
Offensively: RHH. Closed setup, with feet shoulder width apart; has a pre-pitch bat waggle. Short take back with the hands with an up and down stride for timing. Stays behind the ball while showing a strong lower half. Showed a downward swing path with one-handed finish. More fly balls than line drives and ground balls with a peak exit velocity of 93 MPH via Trackman. Creates significant backspin/carry by cutting the ball seemingly in half, showed HR power with controlled swing, outstanding ability to repeatedly make barrel contact.
Defensively: Starts with an upright /tall setup; walks into ready position while displaying fluid actions to the baseball. Hands work through the ball with a clean transfer. Moderate arm circle from a standard 3/4 arm slot. OF - 85 MPH. Calm approach, feet are measured as he creates the angle, clean though can get rid of ball a bit quicker to allow the strong arm to play up further.

Eli Hancock, Lincoln (Stockton, CA), 2022

Offensively: LHH. Even setup, with feet wide spread; flat bat to start. Loads straight back with a heel lift for timing. Drifts into contact while showing a strong lower half. Showed a direct swing path with two handed finish. More line drives than fly balls and ground balls with a peak exit velocity of 85 MPH via Trackman. Opposite field approach, stride closes, short to and through it, spray/contact oriented approach.
Defensively: Starts with a balanced setup; walks into ready position while being aggressive. Hands are off to the side with a clean transfer. Moderate arm circle from a high-3/4 arm slot. OF - 77 MPH. Gets rid of it quickly, quick to the ball with athletic actions to and through the ball, energetic.

Manny Selles, Berkeley (CA), 2024

Offensively: LHH. Open setup, with feet shoulder width apart; bat positioned at a 45 degree angle. Short take back with the hands with a moderate leg kick for timing. Slides weight forward pre-contact. while showing a strong lower half. Showed a flat swing path with two handed finish. More ground balls than line drives and fly balls with a peak exit velocity of 97 MPH via Trackman. Young physical strength shows up, swing path had ball hit hard though a bit top half of ball, has ability to hit hard to all fields.
Defensively: Starts with an upright /tall setup; uses prep hop while showing active feet. Hands are off to the side with a seamless transfer. Long arm swing from a standard-3/4 arm slot. OF - 77 MPH. Sets up feet well on way to ball to get off his max throws on consistent basis, creates clean angles, plays with urgency.

Noah Lazzareschi, Washington (Fremont, CA), 2023

: 5-10, 175-pounds; Lean, proportional build. 7.23 runner in the 60.
Offensively: LHH. Even setup, with feet wide spread; has a pre-pitch bat waggle. Drops hands on the way back with an up and down stride for timing. Stays behind the ball while showing an average effort from the legs. Showed a slight lift to the ball with a finish around the back. More fly balls than line drives and ground balls with a peak exit velocity of 87 MPH via Trackman. Lively in the box, loose swing, has favorable sweet spot % stats, flashed bat speed and hand speed to project some gap gap pop.
Defensively: Starts with an upright /tall setup; walks into ready position while being aggressive. Hands are out in front with a clean transfer. Moderate arm circle from a high/over the top arm slot. OF - 73 MPH. Gets to it quickly and gets ball underway quickly, soft hands and efficient in all the actions.

Caven Croom, St. Mary's College Prep (CA), 2023

Offensively: RHH. Even setup, with feet just outside his shoulders; has a pre-pitch bat waggle. Drops hands on the way back with an up and down stride for timing. Stays behind the ball while showing an average effort from the legs. Showed a flat swing path with two handed finish. More line drives than fly balls and ground balls with a peak exit velocity of 86 MPH via Trackman. Short stroke, direct to ball, listed as switch-hitter though only took swings on RH side, displayed strong barrel control.
Defensively: Starts with an upright /tall setup; walks into ready position while being aggressive. Hands are out in front with a seamless transfer. Moderate arm circle from a standard 3/4 arm slot. OF - 71 MPH. Quick burst to ball, plays with urgency, gets rid of it to allow modest arm strength to play up, angles are clean.
