Game Notes (CA): Berkeley at Dougherty Valley

SAN RAMON, CA - The second game of the 2019 Pittsburg High School Spring Kickoff Tournament turned out to be quite the pitchers' duel. The Dougherty Valley Wildcats matched up against the Berkeley Yellowjackets. Yellowjackets pitcher, ’19 Ole Iversen could not have asked for a better way to begin his 2019 season.  After tossing a scoreless 1st inning, Iversen helped his own cause driving in ’19 OF Michael Dixon, who had a single and stolen base of his own, on a single to left field. On the mound Iversen would hold the Wildcats scoreless until the 4th inning, when ’19 RHP Jesse Barron decided to help his own cause like Iversen did.  Barron smoked a double to left center field and aggressive base running by the Wildcats allowed the runner from first to score to tie the game at one all.
