Carlsbad, CA - Some big names were on hand 3/2/19 in a game between the Rancho Bernardo Broncos and La Costa Canyon Mavericks with both teams entering the game holding a record of 4-0 and creating a pivotal early season matchup for North County dominance. Behind a strong pitching performance from NYU commit ‘19 RHP Ross Goldschlag and sloppy Bronco defense the Mavericks prevailed 5-2. Dual-threat ‘19 LHP/1B Spencer Jones, the number one rated player in the Prep Baseball Report California Class of 2019 rankings accounted for 700 feet on two swings for two LONG outs to deep right-center. Rancho Bernardo starter ‘20 RHP Desmond Cabanilla lit up the radar gun with a PBR personal career high of 91 mph.
