Game Notes (CA): Rocklin v San Joaquin Memorial

CLOVIS, CA - In an opening round game on 3/1/19, we got to take in Rocklin making the long trip to the Central Valley to take on the defending Central Section D2 champs, San Joaquin Memorial. The game ended up being a run-away win for the Panthers but as scouts, we are generally more concerned with the participants than the score or result of the game. It IS important to keep note of when/how players perform within the context of the competition and those are the moments that begin to define them as PLAYERS vs talents. This particular game featured MANY 2021/2022 players and their talent stands out now. Over the coming years we will see how they emerge as players. Two of them are already well on their way to PLAYER status. One of them is featured in the short video clip below, 2021 SJM 2B Eddie Saldivar.
