10/20/18 - Los Angeles Open - Five-foot-9, 140-pounds, small/medium frame with long legs, large feet and wiry strength. The left-handed hitting middle infielder shows a consistent and solid approach at the plate where he has a balanced setup with a smooth load and short stride. Does a fair job of incorporating the lower half into his swing. Has some present bat speed with quick hands and feel for the barrel. Pull side hitter presently with the ability to middle-middle. On the dirt he's a very instinctual player with excellent footwork. Often beats the ball to the spot under control of his body. Shows clean exchanges with enough arm to make throws from multiple angles. Reads hops well. Stays low to the ground and funnels the ball out front. Projectable athlete who is certain to grow and fill out.

10/20/18 - Los Angeles Open - Five-foot-7, 190-pounds, medium frame with some strength in the lower half and through the shoulders down into the arms. At the plate he starts with a slightly open, wide stance. Uses a slight stride trigger mechanism with hands above the shoulders. Quick hands with excellent barrel feel. Tends to get to the ball out front with present bat speed with a short path to the ball and extension through it. Line drive hitter with a middle-right approach but shows the ability to pull the ball with present power. Defensively projects more as a corner infielder presently. Footwork can get choppy and stop at the ball, but the hands/arm work from the left side of the infield. Exchanges are clean/quick with enough present arm strength to make throws from multiple angles.

10/20/18 - Los Angeles Open - Five-foot-9, 145-pounds, medium frame with long arms and legs and medium sized feet. Larger hands. Wiry strength throughout the body. At the plate he starts with a wide, slightly open stance with fast hands that he rocks into position up near the ear. Slight toe tap trigger initiates swing. Shows fast hands that he keeps inside allowing the barrel to get to the ball. Present middle-left approach. Shows balance throughout the swing into extension. Defensively, Delgadillo really projects thanks in part to his sure, soft hands, accurate arm and slick footwork. Funnels balls out front and has the quickness/instincts to get to the ball to both sides of the ball. Backhand is true and effective. Has plenty of arm to make throws from multiple angles.

10/20/18 - Los Angeles Open - Five-foot-10, 170-pounds, medium frame with strength throughout the frame. At the plate Heistand shows fast hands with strong feel for the barrel and the ability to drive the ball to all fields. Fast hands that he keeps inside the ball after dropping them into launch slot. Quick rotation with the hips/shoulders enhances the bat speed. At shortstop, Heistand shows fair range to both sides and possesses soft hands with clean exchanges. Throwing motion can get a little long, but possesses enough arm strength to make throws from multiple angles. Footwork is fluid with fair range to both sides. Instinctive defender who gets rid of the ball quickly. On the mound Heistand shows a clean, loose arm from a high-3/4 slot. Delivery is deliberate through to an out front release point. Fastball shows some life as it enters the zone. Shows command of the pitch. Curveball is a sharp, late biting pitch with 12/6 shape. Command of the pitch was erratic. Changeup shows late movement back to the arm side and shows fair command of the pitch. Slider looks a lot like his curveball but with downer break and movement.

10/20/18 - Los Angeles Open - Six-foot-1, 150-pounds, large frame that is lean and wiry strong throughout. Long limbs with large feet. At the plate Martinez sharts with an upright, balanced setup with hands above the ear. Uses a leg lift trigger where he drops this hands into launch angle and drives his back hip into the ball. Shows some present bat speed and feel for the barrel along with sneaky pop as demonstrated by him peppering the outfield wall during BP. Gets extension through the ball. Defensively, Martinez is a twitchy-type athlete that shows good range and instincts when balls are hit in his direction. Hands are soft and his exchanges are clean. Backhand is true. Footwork is fluid but can at times get choppy. Martinez is a projectable player, particularly at the plate.

10/20/18 - Los Angeles Open - Five-foot-11, 155-pounds, medium frame that is long, lean, and wiry strong. Long limbs with larger feet. Offensively Schmidt starts with an upright and balanced setup using a smooth load and short stride to get his swing going. Starts with hands just above shoulder which he drops into launch position in unison with his stride. Shows quick hands which he uses to whip the barrel through the zone on a consistent plane. Does a fair job of using his lower half in the swing. Middle-left approach. On the dirt Schmidt shows fluid footwork with good range to both sides and a true backhand. Arm is strong and accurate across the diamond and capable of making throws from multiple angles. At times release is slow/deliberate.

10/20/18 - Los Angeles Open - Five-foot-5, 140-pounds, medium frame with wiry strength throughout. Strong wrists/hands. Peralez demonstrated high level athleticism across the board in the event. After running a 7.36 in the 60, Peralez opened eyes with a loud round of BP where he shows a nice, easy swing with sneaky power to the pull side. Shows above average bat speed and feel for the barrel squaring and driving balls to all fields. Maintains excellent balance through his compact but powerful swing. Registered a 74 mph exit velocity off a tee. Defensively he showed excellent body control and balance along with range to both sides and a true backhand. Arm strength is presently average with accuracy from all angles. Instinctive player that often beat the ball to the spot.

10/20/18 - Los Angeles Open - USC commit. 5-foot-11, 150-pound, long, lean, strong frame. Torres showed to be the slick fielding shortstop with an incredibly projectable left-handed bat that we've seen develop over the last couple seasons. An average runner (7.40 60), Torres is quicker than he is fast and it shows in his defense where he is a rangy, twitchy, athletic middle infielder with a strong, accurate arm. Shows quick, fluid footwork along with excellent body control. Hands are very soft and exchanges are clean and fluid. Plays through balls aggressively while showing the ability to throw accurately on the run and from multiple angles. At the plate Torres shows just how high his ceiling is with as smooth a left-handed swing as we've seen this year. Has a simple setup with slight back load before exploding his back hip, hands, and barrel into the ball and through extension. The entire process is very rhythmic and athletic. Got extended on several balls on the outer half and drove them to the left-center-field wall. Shows present gap power which really projects as his frame continues to fill out and add strength.
