STOCKTON, CA - We've begun posting news/notes/info from the Northern California Preseason All State showcase, held at San Joaquin Delta College on Sunday, January 27th. We previously posted a Quick Hits piece noting 30 players as early standouts.
Today we have a listing of the stats leaders in various recorded categories. Be sure to click on the player profile for additional information. Video and reports to follow in the coming days/weeks.
Please note:
- 60 yard times recorded via handheld stopwatch, artificial turf surface
- All throwing velocities gathered via radar gun
- Exit speeds recorded off a batting tee via radar gun facing the batter
- Pop times recorded on handheld stopwatches. We acknowledge the extremely low times would almost certainly not show up in game competition. That is not stated to discredit any players, as some catchers utilize throwing mechanics specific to being evaluated in a showcase environment.
Please also keep in mind that on January 27th most players are getting in shape for their season and are NOT quite yet in mid-season form.
