NorCal Player of the Week: Everet Johnson

NORTHERN CALIFORNIA - Though not a roaring start due to weather and the disjointed start dates of the various sections in Northern California, the CIF 2023 high school baseball season is underway. As per usual, we are soliciting and receiving nominations for Player of the Week from the high school coaches around the region. Also as per usual, the number of quality nominations makes this a challenging selection each week.

Congratulations to junior 3B/P Everet Johnson of Justin-Siena High School (Napa), the inaugural NorCal Player of the Week for the 2023 season, for his outstanding performance during the week of Feb. 20-25.

Johnson was stellar on the mound and at the plate as his Justin-Siena Braves defeated Branson School Bulls 15-5 on Wednesday, Feb. 22. The hard-hitting junior went 3-for-4 at the plate, with a 2B and HR, 2 RBI, and 2 R. On the mound he contributed 4.1 IP, giving up 5 H, 0 BB, 1 R (earned), while punching out 10. 

Coaches, do you have a Player of the Week or top performer you'd like to nominate? Be sure to check your email in-box each Sunday. Simply send weekly details/stats into our scouting staff by Monday and look for our Diamond Notes article that will highlight top performers who weren't selected for Player of the Week but are deserving of recognition.

The more information you give us, the better... name, position, grad year, B/T, height/weight, college commitment (if applicable), along with the weekly stats. Please also include anything notable, such as the caliber of competition the player faced, the game circumstances that were affected, etc.
