LINCOLN, CALIF. - We ran the inaugural NorCal Rising Stars Game last weekend at McBean Stadium and the event has some exciting young player talent on hand. We will be rolling out data/metrics and stats from this event during this week. Later in the fall there is a good chance some of the players who were in attendance will be in our initial ranking of the 2026 class. Today it's the pitching data gathered with the portable TrackMan B1 unit, during the game play portion of the event.

Prep Baseball Report California events across the country have been powered by TrackMan’s industry-leading portable system to capture pinpoint accurate, actionable data from player performances. Prep Baseball Report and TrackMan are dedicated to recognizing talent and unleashing their potential.

At the event all pitchers pitches were monitored through the portable Trackman B1 unit. Each player threw their complete arsenal of pitches allowing us to collect metrics such as release velocity, spin rate, vertical & horizontal movement and much more.

This data goes directly into the player profiles allowing the PBR Staff, college coaches and professional scouts alike to evaluate and compare prospects on a national scale.

Some of the advanced metrics gathered, available for subscribers to PBR Plus: effective velocity, max & avg IVB, max & avg horizontal movement, extension avg, release height avg, zone %

Spin Rate is defined as how fast the ball is spinning as it leaves the pitcher's hand, measured in "Revolutions per Minute or RPM"

We will roll out more content, including the reports, in the coming weeks.
