Preseason Preview: Foothill Knights

COVID ended the 2020 season early throughout the State but as things progress quickly for the 2021 high school season, it’s time for us to preview teams from around the State in the Yearly Preseason Preview. Schedules are being adapted to fit the ever-changing landscape and though this season may look different than history has shown us, coaches/staff, players, families, and our team are preparing for 2021 to be as successful as possible. 

We’ve submitted the Preseason Questionnaire to high school head coaches across the entire state and their responses have been flooding in. Over the next several weeks, we’ll be using their detailed insight on our team-by-team previews ahead of the 2021 season leading into the California Power 25 Rankings.

SEASON OUTLOOK: 

Coming off of a hot start to the 2020 season, the Foothill Knights are looking to repeat that early-season success in 2021. Coach Price has been around the Foothill program, helping build its success, and gets to take the lead this season with a team that will have 4 College commits with more coming soon. This team expects to be in the mix for the Crestview League title and the Knights believe that if they’re healthy come the end of the season, they’re going to be a tough out in the Southern Section playoffs. The talent on the field will have strengths all over with pitching, defense, speed, and timely hitting so the Knights will have to take care of the little things on and off the field while finding consistency on a daily basis. Coach Price is going to put his imprint on this team and with the level of talent Foothill has, Division 1 teams will have the Knights circled on the calendar.
