Davis Diaz SS / Acalanes, CA / 2021Diaz is a wiry 5-foot-10 160-pound freshman shortstop who hits leadoff and starts for one of Northern California's top high school teams. He is a gifted fielder, with soft hands, good first step, solid range that plays up due to his instincts and an easy arm that can make throws from multiple angles. His energy and game savvy really standout and if you didn't know he's a freshman, you wouldn't know. Offensively he showed a flat stroke, good balance and a compact stroke that allows him to use a line drive approach to all fields.
