SoCal Player of the Week: Brandon Lawrence

2019 SS/RHP Brandon Lawrence of the Dunn School has been named the PBR California SoCal Player of the Week for April 22-28 for his performance on the field for the Earwigs.

In three games last week the University of Michigan signee was 7-for-10 with 3 home runs, 9 RBI, a pair of walks and was hit by a pitch twice. For the week he had an OBP of .786 and swiped four bases.

For good measure, he tossed five innings collecting a win while striking out five.

Lawrence has put together quite the season for the Dunn School who begins the CIF-SS D5 playoffs as the No. 2 seed overall. Lawrence is hitting .546 with 41 RBI (1st in D5), 6 HR (1st in D5), 9 doubles, 2 triples, 21 stolen bases, and 28 runs. On the mound he’s 6-1 with a 2.39 ERA in 29.1 innings pitched, 31 strikeouts, and 1 save.
