SoCal Player of the Week: LHP/1B Trevor Beer
April 3, 2018
Crescenta Valley began league play last week with two games against Pasadena and Beer was a standout for the Falcons at the plate and on the mound, doing both in his start.
Beer, a UC Santa Barbara signee, pitched a complete game allowing an unearned run, scattering three hits, striking out 14 and walking two. For good measure he was 3-for-4 and was a home run shy of hitting for the cycle as he pounded a single, double, and triple while scoring a run and driving in three runs in a 7-1 win to open league play. In the second game of the week against Pasadena, Beer was 3-for-4 with a double and two runs scored.
For his efforts, Beer has been named the Prep Baseball Report SoCal Player of the Week for the week of March 26-April 1.
The Prep Baseball Report salutes Beer's hard work and success.
