2018 LHP/1B Trevor Beer (Crescenta Valley HS) has been named this week's Prep Baseball Report SoCal Player of the Week thanks to his outstanding performance on the mound and at the plate for the Crescenta Valley Falcons.

Crescenta Valley began league play last week with two games against Pasadena and Beer was a standout for the Falcons at the plate and on the mound, doing both in his start.

Beer, a UC Santa Barbara signee, pitched a complete game allowing an unearned run, scattering three hits, striking out 14 and walking two. For good measure he was 3-for-4 and was a home run shy of hitting for the cycle as he pounded a single, double, and triple while scoring a run and driving in three runs in a 7-1 win to open league play. In the second game of the week against Pasadena, Beer was 3-for-4 with a double and two runs scored.

For his efforts, Beer has been named the Prep Baseball Report SoCal Player of the Week for the week of March 26-April 1.

The Prep Baseball Report salutes Beer's hard work and success.
