Scouting Report

1/5/19 - SoCal Preseason All-State - 5-foot-8, 145-pounds, Strong athletic frame for his age with room for projection. Bats from the right side with nice line drive swing. Hands start high, which can sometimes cause timing issues, but when he made good contact it was loud and hit hard. Power will continue to come too. He's got quick hands and can really drive the ball. Behind the plate, he was one of the more athletic guys at the showcase. Received the ball very well with quiet soft hands. Very strong arm, throws carried through the second baseman's glove. Came out with some wild throws but then settled in and began to show off his strong and accurate arm. Also ran a 7.67 60 yard dash.

Scouting Report

1/5/19 - SoCal Preseason All-State - 6-foot, 145-pounds, Long athletic frame, with a lot of room to fill out. Bats from the right side with a smooth line drive swing. Made solid contact in BP and managed to drive the ball to all parts of the field. Good bat speed. Swing can get longer sometimes, which leads to timing issues. I expect the bat to improve as he gets older. Very athletic behind the plate, has quick feet to go along with soft hands. Pop times were between 2.22-2.34. Good arm behind the plate and delivered many accurate throws to second. Also ran a 7.50, 60 yard dash. Snyder is an above average athlete and a very talented young player.

Generated some of the most impressive bat speed at the showcase. Has quick hands, and has the ability to turn on pitches. Drove the ball very well, and showed off some power. Behind the plate, he has many raw skills. He was quick on his feet, with pop times between 2.22-2.31. Had some troubles with exchanges but with his athleticism, this should improve.
