SAN JOSE, CALIF. - Our Preseason ID series kept chugging along on Sunday 1/29/23, on the campus of Mission College in San Jose, in the shadow of Levi Stadium, home of the San Francisco 49ers. We have one more stop on the Preseason ID tour, next Sunday (2/5/23) in the East Bay at Chabot College in Hayward. There are sure to be more players we will see who will garner consideration for invitations to the California State Games and to the Future Games.
Players were put through the traditional showcase workout that included the 60-yard dash (w/10 & 30-yard splits as well), hitting session, and a defensive session. There was no pitching session.
This is the final piece (Swift Tech athletic testing) relative to the data/metrics/stats from the event. In the coming couple of weeks the player reports and videos will be posted.

Prep Baseball Report events across the country have been powered by Swift Performance industry-leading portable system to capture pinpoint accurate, actionable data from player performances as it pertains to speed and athletic testing. Prep Baseball Report and Swift Labs are dedicated to recognizing talent and unleashing their potential.
At the event all participants are tested on the Swift Performance EZE JUMP to measure RSI and vertical jump allowing glimpses into the players current athleticism. The sequencing of the test varies based on what is being administered. In addition to the jumpmat, position players were put through a laser timed 60 yard dash. Also measured using Swift Labs state of the art laser system were 10 and 30 yard splits providing further insight into current athleticism and potential.
This data goes directly into the player profiles allowing the PBR Staff, college coaches, and professional scouts alike to evaluate and compare prospects on a national scale.
