Event: South Bay Preseason ID Positional Profile: 3B/OF Physical: 6-0, 185-pounds; 7.42 60-yard, max vertical jump – 27.1; Lean athletic build with streamlined proportions and strength throughout. Offensively: RH. EV max – 96.7 mph, hand speed max – 20.5 mph, bat speed max – 72.8 mph; Wide feet, just about even set-up in slight crouch, smooth reverse move as he picks up stride foot then getting out to modest stride, uses legs well in swing to drive ball via creating leverage in lower half, small straight back load, most comfortable swings were on ball middle in as he created barrel tilt behind head with knob to catcher, got inside ball well with ability to stay long through zone into a long one hand release, has ability to generate fly ball impact contact with some backspin carry. Defensively: 3B – 81 mph; OF – 86; Slight hop into prep at 3B, plays low to ball before rising to get off throw, compact arm action with some zip on throws, traps ball into funnel exchange at mid-section, efficient footwork with little wasted motion; OF – Gets to ball in shape to get off quick throw, creates clean angles, above average arm, displays same quality body control in OF, profiles to either corner.
6/12/22
Bay Area World Series 2022 - Uncommitted; Lean strength with athletic proportions on average size frame, there are hints of tools in his profile that suggest he's got inate physical talent, ran 7.18 60-yd and threw max 85 mph 3B throw, early on in HS career was more toward the pitcher side of things but only participated at BAWS as 3B, didn't gather any hits but had competitive at-bats throughout and showed a discerning eye, worked all fields, BP round highlighted a max EV of 93 mph w/40% for both hard hit (balls hit over 90 mph) and sweet spot %, physical young man is one to keep an eye on, perhaps as 3B and perhaps as RHP.
