6/09/19 - Norcal ProCase: Spotlight

3/16/19 - vs Washington HS - Lean lanky bodied player who looks to still be a ways from physical maturity. We've seen him handle the glove real well in previous looks, the arm is good, with carry and he gets rid of the ball with minimal effort. He moves to his backhand well and does it confidently. Offensively he hit in the 3-hole for SRV, facing a D1 committed pitcher. Showed a pull-oriented approach and collected a few hits (which he does quite a bit, collect hits), was aggressive early in the count a couple of at-bats, more so than in previous looks. Bat speed has improved and will likely continue to improve as he physically matures. The capability of playing high level defense has been there all along and the offensive tools are starting to blossom.

2/19/19 - vs Clayton Valley Charter - Looked the part at shortstop showing soft hands and a strong arm;  glove is his calling card. At the plate, he showed a good approach being pitched tough by Clayton Valley pitchers. Didn’t have much to show from the game, but got himself in good counts and just missed his pitches. Has plenty of room to keep growing as a hitter. All the tools are there for him to be one of the best players in the state. Grant will be the guy the Wolves will lean on to be their spark plug.

1/27/19 - PBR Northern CA Preseason All-State - Medium frame with length in legs, high waist and wide shoulders; lean projectable frame. Quick, short stride as a runner. Tall stance, balanced with high hands and high back elbow; keeps strong posture as knee tucks and hands move down slightly. Level swing with quickness from his turns keeping hands tight to body; line drives all around the field during BP. Quickness in infield showing ability to create angles and move through the ball with rhythm and timing; very soft glove flashing strong range. Loose arm with ability to get release ball quickly and online. A top 2020 middle infielder with range and middle infield actions for the next level.

8/12/18 - Area Code Underclass - Saw over 3 days; Medium frame with very slender build; will really need to attack the weight room over next two seasons to build strength and muscle onto frame. Offensively utilizes a open, high-hands approach showing a slow load while keeping balance in the middle of his feet; compact bat with an oppo approach built for line-drives into short outfield. Has times where he will be on front foot, but regularly finished in strong, balanced position while getting average extension after short load back with hands. Above average defender up the middle showing very good feet and strong middle infield actions including smoothness in his hips; future home up the middle with range at both middle infield spots getting to balls in OF and using advanced body control to attack ball while on the run. Average arm showed flashes of more with a quick release and ability to throw on the run and from all angled; times where he really lets it loose across the diamond and give it extra life. Average runner plays better in field rather than explosiveness out of box; showed ability to beat out tough plays and uses more quick reactions rather than blazing speed to get down line and on the bases. Barreled multiple balls in games and finished with three hits.

3/08/18 - at Cardinal Newman HS - The wiry lean 5-foot-10 145-pound shortstop sure has the look of a high level defender with some talents that he can develop as a hitter. His throws carry easily across the diamond, can throw from multiple angles and though he usually has his feet in great position he doesn't need to in order to get off a strong snap throw. His release is quick, happening fluidly with no wasted footsteps. He's smooth around the bag and has the ability to be flashy, but he's quite a steady fielder while showing that he can make a routine play just as well. Offensively Grant showed a flat  line drive type stoke, with quick and loose wrists while not trying to do too much.
