ROSTER PREVIEW

Nate Godbold SS / 3B / Mt. Carmel High, CA / 2028 |
Mason Park SS / 2B / Fullerton Union High, CA / 2027From 1/3/26: "Park continues to reinforce his status as a top-80 player in the state, turning in his third straight strong showing dating back to the OC Summer ID and the CA State Games. Park once again produced in live game action, picking up another base hit, while putting together a solid BP round where he posted a 94.8 mph max EV and a 354' max batted distance. The offensive consistency continues to stand out, with Park showing a reliable approach and the ability to impact the baseball in both controlled and competitive settings. Athletically, Park remains a quality runner, clocking a 7.2 60-yard dash at this event after previously posting a 6.87 at the State Games, and he shows the athleticism and arm strength (88 mph) to stick at SS long term, with the versatility to also slide over to 3B if needed. Physically, he looks noticeably stronger than he did over the summer, having added roughly five pounds of good weight. The added strength shows in how the jersey fits and is backed up by a significant jump in the forearm grip strength test, confirming real physical gains. As an uncommitted SoCal INF, Park continues to trend upward and carries the tools, consistency, and physical development to become a legitimate impact player at the next level." |
DYLAN SALCEDO SS / RHP / Corona High School, CA / 2027From 7/30/25: Positional Profile: SS/RHP Two-way player with above-average speed and feel for the barrel. |
Grant Menges SS / OF / Tustin High, CA / 2029From 10/19/25: Positional Profile: SS/OF Natural middle INF that flashes quick movements at the plate and on the diamond. |
Joel Vargas OF / RHP / Eastlake, CA / 2028From 4/10/26: "Vargas delivered the loudest swing of the day for Eastlake, launching a two run home run to LCF off one of the better arms in the game. The sophomore right handed hitter was clearly a name to watch coming in, and he showed why with one swing that changed the feel of the game. There is clear intent in the box with Vargas. He wants to hit, he wants to do damage early, and he is not going up there looking passive. That mindset showed up in a big way in this look. The swing is aggressive, but there is still adjustability in there. He gets the front foot down early and was able to get to a high fastball in the zone, driving it out to left center with authority. Even the pitch before the homer showed the same intent, as he took a big swing and looked ready to attack. That approach can get big at times, but it also shows confidence and a real hitter’s mindset. When he is on time, the strength and bat speed are more than enough to produce impact. Overall, it was a strong look from Vargas and another reminder that he is a sophomore bat with real offensive upside." |
