The Uncommitted Spotlight Series continues as the calendar has turned over and the start of the '24 CIF High School baseball season is quickly approaching we are highlighting some of the top uncommitted class of '24 athletes. The players featured are pulled directly from our '24 Class Rankings and remain as the top players left on the board going into the start of their senior season.

We invite you to get to know them through the eyes of our PBR California staff of scouts and the data-backed numbers collected at our events with our partnered companies. TrackMan, Blast Motion, Swift Performance, and Visual Edge provide comparable data to project and evaluate players. All of these systems come together to give a clear picture at what colleges will get when a players steps onto their campus.

Today, we put the spotlight on a NorCal '24 3B/RHP Maximiliano Garcia out of El Cerrito HS. With a medium frame at 5'11 and 180 lbs. with average present strength Garica flashes the athletic ability and actions to stick on the INF dirt. Runs fringe average at 7.2 in the 60 with a 1.76 10 yard burst and moves well laterally/downhill during defensive work. His feet are solid with good hands and the transfer is quick into an accurate throw. Relies mostly on the quickness of his hands and transfer into the throw with accuracy with the ability to throw from different arm angles. Garcia though will be carried more by his offensive potential. A RH hitter with an aggressive swing featuring fast hands (23.8 MPH and 23.6 max rot. acceleration) the hips and hands connect well to get his bat speed up to 77.9 MPH and he lets his hands work to deliver the barrel with leverage in the bat path. Shows impressive power numbers getting up to 101.8 MPH on his max exit velocity with the consistency to deliver the barrel with impact averaging 96.2 MPH on his exit velocity. With the leverage in his bat path he gets carry to the pull side of the field with a max distance up to 389' showing HR power. There is rhythm in his load with a small stride from an open stance getting to land position early to allow him time to track the pitch while unleashing his aggressive swing path. Garcia shows impact offensive ability with power in the bat and a good approach/timing which should allow his hit tool to play consistently, while sticking at 3B and could even slide to 2B/1B where the bat will still profile. 4-year colleges and JUCO programs should be paying close attention to him into the spring as an offensive profile player to add for their '24 class.

College coaches and fans be sure to click on Garcia's profile to see full video and statistics.
