Tristan Puga has had a big 2026. The Lemoore C/3B hit .364 with a 1.178 OPS and a school-record six home runs, earning First Team All-League honors in the process.

Puga continued to impress this summer at the NorCal ProCase and the 2026 Senior Future Games, backing up his spring numbers with strong offensive showings while also showcasing the defensive tools that make him one of the top uncommitted catchers in the 2027 class.

During the workout portion of the Senior Future Games, Puga recorded Team West Coast's fourth-furthest batted ball distance (361 ft), the eighth-highest max exit velocity (95.8 mph), and the third-fastest bat speed (73 mph). In-game, he threw out multiple runners and hit this hard single up the middle against Team Mid-Atlantic.

Last spring, Puga hit .364 with 28 hits, including six home runs and seven doubles. These six home runs set an all-time school record at Lemoore HS. He was also named First Team All-League while consistently throwing out baserunners all season.

CURRENT NUMBERS

Puga profiles as a middle-of-the-order bat with present power and explosive exit velocity numbers. Defensively, he’s a legitimate threat behind the plate with quick transfer and a solid 82 mph arm.

Puga’s athleticism extends beyond the diamond. With his senior year underway, he has been playing defensive end and linebacker for Lemoore’s varsity football team. He brings multi-sport competitiveness and physical tools that translate behind the plate.

He’s touched 82 mph behind the dish and has posted a 1.83-1.92 pop time range. These quick pop times are backed by controlled footwork and an efficient transfer that gets the ball out of his glove and to second base in a hurry.

Puga’s development as a player is evident in his event history. Since attending the Sacramento Summer ID in June 2025, his pop times have dropped from 2.10-2.28 to 1.83-1.92, his catcher velo has ticked up 8 mph from 74, and his 60 time is 0.81 seconds faster. Now standing 6’1 215 lbs, Puga has made his game much more complete in just a year. The growth is also evident in his production. He hit .291 with a .904 OPS as a sophomore before jumping to .364 and a 1.178 OPS as a junior, adding 5 home runs and 23 RBIs in the process. As his role will only grow, Puga figures to make his senior season an exciting one to watch.
