BOTTOM LINE:
Congratulations to Brad Madden and the Green Mountain Rams. They have won back to back titles at the 4A level. Brad Madden also has a state championship ring from his days at Golden. If Brad Madden can lead his team back to the 4A State Championship, then you have to consider Madden up there with the some Colorado High School coaching legends. Like all good coaches will say..it's about the players. The Rams have a legitimate stud coming back in OF Wyatt Featherston (Western Kentucky). Featherston has had as impressive of a run in Colorado High School baseball as you can. He will be a four year starter, and he has been a core of the Rams back to back 4A titles. The potential draft pick has put up gaudy numbers over the last three years. He will be the center piece of a 3-Peat. After Featherston the Rams get young again. 2017 OF Luke Kuberski has as much physical talent as anyone. If he can put it together this year and provide protection in the lineup that will be a huge step to the 3-peat. The younger Ramirez brother got some time on the mound last year and didn't disappoint going 2 and 0 with a 1.29 ERA striking out 23 in 16 innings. If he can step in and give that type of production the Rams will be in good shape. Also look for 2016 RHP Colton Faubion to contribute on the mound in 2016. We think the Rams will find a way to be in the mix again for a 3-peat.
