2018 Future Games: Team Florida Quick Hits Game 3

The 2018 Future Games is the largest uncommitted event in the country, with over 400 players and over 200 coaches and scouts. The event consists of a workout day and three games. Team Florida took on Team Select for their final game of the weekend. Today we take a look back at some of the quick hits from the final game of the PBR Future Games for Team Florida.

Team Florida v Team Select

Mason Miller, LHP, JW Mitchell HS, FL
Listed at 6-foot-2, 185 pounds, he looks longer and leaner than that. The frame is exceptionally projectable and showed a loose and easy 3/4 to high 3/4 arm action. Worked 87-89 mph early and showed a 73-75 mph slider that has potential and depth. Also showed a straight changeup at 80-81 mph. Overall, the arm talent is elite with a very high ceiling.

Dom Scavone, INF/RHP, TNXL Acadmey, FL
Scavone made a standout defensive play, rnagin to his glove side at second. Also, continued to show his advanced approach and was on the barrel in both at-bats. Projects well as an offensive second baseman. Overall, the bat continues to show above average.

Bryce Braxton, 3B/RHP, Pasco HS, FL
Braxton continues to show the ability to hit. He drove a bases clearing double for 3 RBIs in the game.

Alexander Haire, OF/RHP, Berekely Prep, FL
Haire, who had one of the top outfield velocities of 92 mph, also has a compact swing with present athleticism. He had a single in the game. While the strikes weren’t there for him on the day, he has a live arm on the mound working 84-87 mph.

Sterlin Thompson, INF, Forest HS, FL
Thompson showed out all three days during batting practice. He has easy leverage and showed his pull side power. The above average bat speed, he has hit tool with power potential. Translated to a single in his first at-bat.
