2021 FL Preseason All-State Preview

The fifth annual Florida Preseason All-State kicks off this weekend in Daytona. Preseason All-State has become one of the biggest preseason events in the state. This event has featured many of the top players in the state in recent years like Zac Veen, Dylan Crews, and Hunter Barco. Preseason All-State has also served as the first identifier for the PBR Future Games and will be the first identifier for the 2021 Future Games.

Today we will preview the 2021 Preseason All-State. Players have been broken down into four teams, two for 2021-2022 players and two for 2023-2025 players. The players will go through a pro-style workout and play two live games that will be broadcasted on Twitter.


Team Red

Starting with the Upperclass teams. The Upperclass will be Team Red and Team Grey. The Upperclass will be in the later session of Saturday’s workout and play the second game on Sunday. For Team Red, starting on the mound Saturday is uncommitted 2022 Tyler Toro. Following Toro, is Thomas University commit Ian Cochran, uncommitted 2021 Colin Jackson, and West Florida commit Carson Ramsey. Starting on the mound Sunday for Red is 2022 Miami commit Chandler Dorsey. Following Dorsey is uncommitted 2022’s Jeremy Weaver, CJ Bussell, and Ethan Firestein. Uncommitted 2021 Scott Griesemer will close it out on Sunday.

Behind the plate for Team Red is 2022 Bethune-Cookman commit Schyler Arroyo, as well as 2021 Covenant commit Zachary Ferlita, and uncommitted 2022 Broc Parmer. At first base is uncommitted 2022 Aiden Roe. Up the middle are uncommitted 2022’s Grant Gallagher and Riley Bambino. In the outfield is 2021 Daytona State commit Sean Sparling, as well as uncommitted 2021 Andrew Burns. Rounding out the outfield are uncommitted 2022’s Chris Duprey, Kamron Gelwick, and Kyle Suda.


Team Grey

For Team Grey, starting on the mound Saturday is 2022 Pittsburgh commit and Future Gamer Ryan Slattery. Following Slattery are uncommitted 2022’s Dearl Edens, Huston Wynne, and Kyle Mueller. Starting Sunday is 2021 FIU commit and top Draft prospect Jose Pena. Following Pena is 2022 Miami commit Ryan Fry and 2021 South FL State commit Ian Anderson. Rounding out the rotation are uncommitted 2022’s Jacob Smith and Alex Lodise.

Behind the plate for Team Grey are uncommitted 2022’s Hayden Cockman, Eli Maddox, Casey Lockwood, and Mason Jantomaso. At first base is uncommitted 2022 Luke Labriola. At third base is uncommitted 2021 Torry Jones and uncommitted 2022 Dillon Costello. Up the middle is 2022 Clemson commit Colby Shelton and uncommitted 2022 Christopher Roberts. In the outfield for Team Grey is 2021 FIU commit and Draft prospect Victor Rodriguez. Rounding out the outfield are uncommitted 2022’s Drake Harman and Javier Barrenechea.


Team White

Next up is the Underclass group, Team White and Team Black. The Underclass group will be the first session on Saturday and the first game Sunday. Starting on the mound Saturday for Team White is uncommitted 2023 Breydan Calapa. Following Calapa is uncommitted 2024 Chayce Kieck, uncommitted 2023’s Ben Barrow and Lucas Glendinning, and uncommitted 2024 Jacob Lozano. Starting Sunday is uncommitted 2023 Peyton Prescott. Following Prescott is uncommitted 2023 Brady Appel, uncommitted 2025 Max Murray, and uncommitted 2023 Michael Petite.

Behind the plate for Team White are uncommitted 2023’s David Hickey and Ben Barrow, and uncommitted 2024 Jacob Lozano. At first base are uncommitted 2022’s Logan Hughes, Dane Wohlabaugh, and Lucas Ramos. At third base are uncommitted 2023 Lucas Glendinning and uncommitted 2025 Max Murray. Up the middle are uncommitted 2023’s Robert Demetree, Anderson Zambrano, and Peyton Prescott. As well as uncommitted 2024’s Chayce Kieck, Jack Clark, and uncommitted 2025 RJ Machado. In the outfield for Team White are uncommitted 2023’s Michael Petite, Andrew Williamson, Gavin Thomas, and Tyler McClanahan, as well as uncommitted 2024 Jackson McCarey.


Team Black

For Team Black, starting on the mound Saturday is 2023 Mississippi State commit Jackson McKenzie. Following McKenzie is uncommitted 2024 McCall Biemiller, and uncommitted 2023’s Zane Starling and Ryland Bozenhard. Starting on the mound Sunday is 2023 Hawaii commit Cooper Consiglio. Following Consiglio is uncommitted 2023’s Trevor Harrison, Jake Bechtel, and Connor Bruseski. Uncommitted 2024 Zach Merriman will close it out.

Behind the plate for Team Black are uncommitted 2023’s Ryland Bozenhard and Braden Rapp, as well as uncommitted 2024 and Jr Future Gamer Noah Hayse. At first base is 2023 Mississippi State commit Jackson McKenzie, Hawaii commit Cooper Consiglio, uncommitted 2023 and Future Gamer James Hankerson, and uncommitted 2023 Bradley Bloxsom. At third base is uncommitted 2023’s Ty Grover and Connor Bruseski. Up the middle is 2024 Florida State commit Adonys Velez, as well as uncommitted 2023’s Zane Starling, Robert Nedry, Drew Reaves, and Preston Shemansky. In the outfield is uncommitted 2023 Jake Bechtel, as well as uncommitted 2024’s McCall Biemiller, Zane Pestalozzi, Branson Mann, and Zach Merriman.
