Strong 6-foot, 190-pound frame on the mound. Minnesota commit. Clausen came out firing from a short rocker-step delivery with compact mechanics, landing slightly open with good extension towards home. Compact high-¾ arm action with quickness and some effort in his release. Fastball featured late life at 90-93 mph, spun 2262 rpm low in the zone. Curveball sat 82-84 mph with above-average depth and 11/5 break, spun at 2635 rpm. Changeup thrown with fastball arm-speed and solid down action in the zone, 84-86 mph.

Hit: RHH. Slight open stance, easy load, barrel drags occasionally through zone, flashed hard contact to middle of field.
Power: 93 mph exit velocity from the tee.
Arm: RH. INF - 88 mph.
Defense: Works low to ground, softer hands, has actions to field, follows throws, accurate to bag with carry.
Run: 7.32 runner in the 60.

Delivery: Short rocker step in medium tuck and turn, compact mechanics and repeats well, lands slightly open, inline extension and finish to plate.
Arm Action: RH. Compact arm action with strength and quickness out front from high ¾ slot.

Active in field with above avg. feet and hands, shows actions and athleticism to field, accurate to bag with carry and has ability to throw from multiple angles, 81 mph arm strength across infield. On mound; rocker step into medium balance point, quicker actions off the rubber, athletic arm, shorter stride and lands across body. Fastball was 76-78 mph with varying action to plate. Shows arm speed on curveball with 11/5 shape. Action on changeup varies from sink and fade to cut action depending on side of plate thrown to.
