BUFFALO GROVE, IL - The No. 20 ranked Bison of Buffalo Grove (20-2-1) have rattled off 15 wins in a row in a near perfect 2017 campaign until running into Barrington (22-6) on Friday in a Mid-Suburban crossover matchup.

Barrington senior LHP Will Yorton kept the Bison bats quiet for most of the contest. After a first inning bases loaded walk, Yorton sat down the next 13 in a row to get Barrington to the sixth with a 4-1 lead.

Yorton looked like he would roll through the rest of the contest, but a leadoff double by John Carpinelli in the sixth got things going for Buffalo Grove. A sacrifice fly brought home Carpinelli and Mac Camardo later came around to score after a singling in the inning, making it a one run ballgame. Buffalo Grove had their chance to take the lead as they left the bases loaded with one out.

The Barrington bullpen managed to close the door on Buffalo Grove, escaping the sixth. Blake Gosswein gave the Broncos a cushion with a two run single in the top of the seventh, and Eric Kozlowski worked a three up three down bottom half to seal the win.
