No. 1 Brother Rice 8, No. 7 St. Rita 2
Jack Nelligan
went the distance as the Crusaders swept St. Rita to stay unbeaten in Catholic Blue play and extend their winning streak to 20. Ryan Kutt had two hits and Ryan Kutt scored two runs in the victory.

No. 3 Mount Carmel 12, No. 14 St. Francis 3
Bobby Seymour
drove in five runs with three singles and Alex Thomas tripled, singled, drove in two and scored three runs for the Caravan. Jeremy Houston allowed a run on six hits in five innings for the win.

No. 4 St. Laurence 7, Loyola 6
Jimmy Burnette’s
single in the sixth inning broke a 6-6 tie after Loyola rallied for five runs in the bottom of the fourth. Burnette went 3-for-3 and Tommy Farrell added two hits and scored two runs in the victory.

No. 5 St. Charles North 8, South Elgin 4
John Legere
and Zach Mettetal each had two hits and three RBI for the North Stars.

No. 6 Plainfield North 5, Oswego East 3
Josh Garner
had two hits and Alexander Steinbach drove in two runs as North won its 11th in a row in completing the three-game sweep. Connor Peplow pitched five innings for the win, and Tyler Garrity got the final six outs for the save.

No. 8 Edwardsville 17, East St. Louis 0
Cole Cimarolli
and Tyler Stamer drove in four runs apiece and Jordan Yenne struck out seven in three perfect innings.

No. 9 Providence 7, Marmion 2
Jackson Stulas
had two hits and two RBI and Jackson Dvorak added an RBI double for the Celtics. Matt Gruszkowski drove in two runs in the victory.

No. 11 Sandburg 2, Homewood-Flossmoor 1
Sean McShane’s
third hit, a bunt single in the bottom of the 12, won it for the Eagles. Jack Wolfe struck out six in three innings of one-hit ball for the win. Starting pitcher Kevin Lane allowed an unearned run on four hits in seven innings for Sandburg.

Leyden 5, No. 15 Hinsdale South 4
Justin Borges
had an RBI single and scored on a two-run error as Leyden rallied for five in the bottom of the sixth to pull the upset. Adrian Perez went the distance for the victory, allowing three earned runs on eight hits. Zachary Duffy had two hits and scored three runs for Hinsdale South.

No. 16 Waterloo 6, Triad 0
Tyler McAlister
pitched a one-hitter with 11 strikeouts and no walks. Jordan McFarland hit a home run and Kane Osterhage and Aaron Laskowski had two hits apiece in the victory.

No. 18 Lemont 7, Oak Lawn 2
Garrett Acton
struck out seven in four innings of one-hit ball for the win and contributed an RBI single to Lemont’s 13-hit attack. Casey O’Brien and Angel Salinas both doubled and singled in the victory.

No. 20 Peoria Notre Dame 5, Normal University 2
Brady Hough
went the distance, allowing four hits and two walks while striking out seven, as the Irish won for the 15th time in the last 16 games.

No. 21 Plainfield South 2, Minooka 1
Nick Enide
went 2-for-7 and drove in the winning run with a single in the bottom of the 14th inning as both sides received outstanding pitching in the marathon. Austin Marozas struck out five in two perfect innings to get the win after Konnor Ash struck out 11 in six innings of two-hit relief and starter Jordan Mikel allowed a run on four hits in six innings. Tyler Talbot pitched eight innings for Minooka.  

No. 23 Oak Park 6, Downers Grove North 2
Evan Bell
went 3-for-4 with three RBI and Luke McMahon pitched a complete game for the Huskies.

No. 24 Prairie Ridge 11, Grayslake North 4
Jacob Carpenter
homered, doubled and had five RBI in the victory. Bryce Thelander and James Mikolajczewski had three hits apiece for the Wolves.

Mundelein 4, Stevenson 3
Reese Dolan’s two-out, two-run double capped a four-run bottom of the seventh as Mundelein rallied for its eighth straight win and a two-game sweep of the Patriots. Brendan Murphy pitched six innings of three-hit ball, and Will Michalski got the win with a scoreless seventh. Dylan Molek had an RBI triple and a double for Stevenson.

Warren 3, New Trier 0

Ryan Davila (6-0) pitched his fifth shutout of the season, a three-hitter with eight strikeouts and no walks. Matt Burch went 2-for-2 and scored two runs.

Lake Forest 6, Lake Zurich 5
Andrew Gough
tied it at 5 with a two-run single in the bottom of the sixth and scored the winning run on Jonathan Salm’s single in the eighth.

Carmel 5, Niles Notre Dame 0
Griffin North
allowed four hits in eight shutout innings and broke the scoreless tie with a two-run single in the five-run ninth for the Corsairs. Norton struck out six and walked none, and Jack Lubor worked the seventh to finish off the four-hitter.

Joliet Catholic 4, Marist 2
Drake Fellows
singled home the go-ahead run then scored on Jack Howard’s hit as JCA rallied for three in the bottom of the sixth. K.C. Simonich had two hits and two RBI in the victory.

St. Viator 8, Marian Central 7
Jack Sexton
went 4-for-5 and Tim Alfonso had three RBI as St. Viator tied with a run in the seventh and again in the ninth before winning on Sexton’s walk-off single in the 10th.

Neuqua Valley 7, Naperville North 1
James Kulak
pitched a three-hitter with nine strikeouts for Neuqua. Tyler Cristofaro went 3-for-3 with three RBI.

Waubonsie Valley 6, Wheaton Warrenville South 3
Jacob Hennessy
pitched a complete game, allowing two earned runs on four hits. Johnny Johnson, Nick Price and Connor Yukna had two hits apiece and Quinton Zielke drove in two runs for Waubonsie.

Lake Park 5, Metea Valley 2
Connor Cook
had eight strikeouts in five innings and Dan Defino struck out two in a perfect seventh for the save.

Willowbrook 2, Addison Trail 0
Matt Pizur
pitched a no-hitter with nine strikeouts and no walks, overcoming three errors to record the shutout.

Hinsdale Central 11, York 4
Spencer Garnett
went 3-for-3 with three RBI and Andrew Zapka had three hits and three RBI as well for the Red Devils.

Downers Grove South 11, Proviso East 0
Danny Oriente
homered, tripled and had three RBI.

Lyons 6, Morton 0
John Miranda
had two hits and scored two runs and Emilio Guitron had three RBI for the Lions.

Centennial 2, Mahomet-Seymour 1
Luke Smith
went the distance and Centennial made enough of its five hits off Mahomet-Seymour’s Alex Jackson. Kellen Sarver’s RBI single in the third inning broke a 1-1 tie.

Fremd 1, Palatine 0
J.T. Kolderup
got the better of his duel with Chris Refka as Justin Castillo singled in the bottom seventh went to third on Troy Hajdukovich’s single and scored on Tommy Josten’s bunt. Both pitchers allowed five hits in complete-game efforts. Kolderup struck out five and walked none. Refka struck out 10 and walked one.

Conant 6, Schaumburg 3
Ryan Roberts
pitched six scoreless innings of two-hit ball, striking out for and walking none, and belted an RBI triple for the Cougars.

Elk Grove 7, Wheeling 0
Brett Taucher
pitched five perfect innings, striking out five, and Joe Leone allowed one hit in two innings of relief for the Grenadiers.

Barrington 10, Hoffman Estates 5
Patrick Dehnert, Tristan Michaels
and Tyler Acosta had seven hits between them and a home run apiece for the Broncos.

Prospect 8, Buffalo Grove 0
Ben Courtney
completed a five-hit shutout, Nick Ergostolo went 3-for-3 and Ryan Molini drove in three runs for the Knights.

Hersey 8, Rolling Meadows 4
Tanner Luke
went 3-for-4 with three RBI for the Huskies.

McHenry 2, Dundee-Crown 1
Dundee-Crown’s Danny Denz struck out 16 McHenry batters, but Colton Klein had the last laugh with a two-run double in the bottom of the seventh. Nick Lahmann pitched a two-hitter for the victory. Two of McHenry’s three hits came in the seventh inning.

Jacobs 4, St. Charles East 3
Brad Demkovich
pitched six innings of four-hit ball and overcame three unearned runs to record the win. Kraeton Moll went 2-for-3 with two RBI for the Golden Eagles.

Huntley 12, Larkin 4
Joe Rizzo
had three hits, three RBI and two runs in the victory. Noah Konie added four RBI.

Lakes 4, Grayslake Central 0
Jack Christensen
needed just 71 pitches to complete a two-hitter and Stephen Mogged had three hits for Lakes.

Grant 5, Crystal Lake Central 4
James Pendley
went 3-for-4 with an RBI as Grant built a 5-0 lead after three innings and held on.

Deerfield 5, Wauconda 3
Lukas Kerstein
had two hits, two walks and two RBI in the victory.

Streamwood 2, West Chicago 1
Streamwood out-hit West Chicago 12-3 but gave Adam Sojda just enough run support for the complete-game victory. He struck out five and walked one. Keegan Cordone and Jose Aguilar had three hits apiece and Ryan Fitzgerald had an RBI double for Streamwood.

Glenbard East 7, Bartlett 3
Ryan Schefske
had three hits and Michael Sebby allowed one earned run on four hits with eight strikeouts and one walk in the complete-game victory.

Boylan 6, Belvidere 0
Sam Rinaldo
and Jake Hammer pitched a combined no-hitter for Boylan. Rinaldo went five innings for the win, striking out five and walking two.

Stagg 12, Bolingbrook 5
Max Downs
went 2-for-3 with a home run and three RBI and Joe Van Nieuwenhuyse had three hits and three RBI for Stagg.

Shepard 4, Reavis 1
Jack Carberry pitched a four-hitter with six strikeouts and Rob Marinec had an RBI double for Shepard.

Lincoln-Way West 9, Lockport 3
Matt Monahan went 3-for-3 and Ryan Hastings had two hits and three RBI for West.

Herscher 9, Peotone 3
Tyler Fisher
homered and had four RBI in the victory. Anthony Engelmann pitched seven full innings of relief, allowing no runs on four hits after Kyle Maupin hit a three-run homer in the first inning for Peotone.

Geneseo 10, Ottawa 9
Keaton Rice
drew a walk-off walk as Geneseo rallied for three runs in the bottom of the ninth after Ottawa scored twice in the top of the frame. Jacob Pauley had three hits and four RBI and Hunter DeSplinter drove in the tying run with a single in the ninth.

Effingham 4, Teutopolis 3
Lance Koenig
and Blake White each had two hits and an RBI and Brett Koester broke a 3-3 tie with a run-scoring single in the fourth inning.

Fenwick 8, Montini 2
Jack Hendricks
went 3-for-4 with a homer and three RBI and Jay Militello struck out nine in six innings to record the win for the Friars.

De La Salle 13, Bishop McNamara 3
Jose Valeron
went 4-for-4 and Rob Zurita hit a home run for the Meteors.

DePaul Prep 8, Northridge Prep 5
Grayson Sanchez
had two hits and two RBI for the Rams.

Young 5, Brooks 4
Brandon Sanchez
went 3-for-3 and Young forced extra innings with three runs in the bottom of the seventh and won it on Nick Bridgeford’s single in the eighth.

St. Joseph-Ogden 12, St. Teresa 1
Mason Coon
recorded 11 strikeouts in four no-hit innings. Ty Brown had two hits and three RBI.

Glenbard South 1, Aurora Central Catholic 0
Fabian Garcia pitched a one-hitter with five strikeouts and three walks and Glenbard South manufactured an unearned run in the top of the seventh.

Kaneland 1, DeKalb 0
Matt O’Sullivan
struck out eight and scattered seven hits in the shutout. Luke Calabrese drove in the only run in the second inning.
