Earlier this week we updated the 2020 rankings and expanded it to the top 30 sophomores in the state. These rankings are sure to change throughout the years as players continue to mature and develop.

Today we delve deeper into the rankings by taking an inside look at the 2020s in the top 30. Many of the players listed below are new to the rankings or rose since the last update.

The top newcomer to the rankings beside the new No. 1 Jack Mahoney (St. Viator) is right-handed pitcher Zach Hise (Joliet Catholic).
