Top 10 Profiles of 2022: No. 5 Sebastian Wilson

By: Drew Locascio and Peter Hamot

Coming in at No. 5 on the most viewed profiles is 2027 OF Sebastian Wilson. Wilson, who has yet to declare a high school he will attend, made his commitment to Tennessee earlier this year. He is one of the few 2027s in the country to already make a commitment.

When looking at Wilson, he showed a high-offensive ceiling at the Lockport-Rising Stars this past April. At the event, the 6-foot, 170-pound, left/left outfielder showed a fluid, loose left handed bat with advanced bat speed and bat strength for his age. As an eighth grader, it goes without saying, he still has a long way to go in his baseball career but viewers were clearly eager to learn about this 2027 commit.

Scouting Report

Wilson is a name that we were eager to see as we came away greatly impressed by him at the Lockport Rising Stars I.D. event in the winter. Wilson did not disappoint as he seemed to only improve in the time since. At the 13U PBR at The Rock Summer Championships we got to see Wilson’s talent transfer to actual gameplay as he crushed two hard-hit balls to the opposite field for extra bases. While in the left-handed batters box Wilson’s middle-of-the-order type bat worked with controlled aggression as he did not try to do too much. It was a impressive showing for this young prospect and he will be a name to keep an eye on as he starts his high school career.
