Top 10 Profiles of 2023: No. 6 Sebastian Wilson

Coming in as the sixth most-viewed profile of 2023 is OF Sebastian Wilson (Lane Tech, 2027; Tennessee commit). Recently making his debut as the No. 1 player in the state and No. 18 nationally, Wilson provides all sorts of intrigue to be one of the next great players to come through Illinois.

We first got eyes on Wilson in June of 2021, and he’s seemingly gotten better each look we’ve had since. Already filling out the uniform at 6-foot, 190-pounds, he has a well-proportioned and strong frame while still holding room for added strength. The separator for Wilson is his left-handed bat; creating exit velocities into the upper-90s with nearly 350’ of carry on his furthest hit balls. It's not just his raw power that makes him an intriguing bat though, he has clear feel to hit with a fluid and intentful swing, giving him the chance to make a big varsity impact early in his high school career. Also a 6.82 runner in the 60 with an arm that can reach up to 90 mph from the outfield, Wilson has a premier set of tools that should only continue to tick up as he goes through the high school ranks.

Wilson will surely be a fun one to watch develop, and we look forward to following him throughout his very promising high school career.
